Parent/Teacher Conferences Coming Up...

Thank you SO MUCH to the parents who volunteered for our Exploring Liquids field trip! Students had an amazing time making slushies, salt sticks, and exploring density and absorbency. These experiences are possible because of YOU!

Reminders:

Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up again on the evening of March 10th and the morning of March 11th. Please sign up for a time slot using your PowerSchool account. I look forward to checking in with you regarding your child's progress!

Book fair: The Scholastic Book Fair is at our school this week. We will be browsing the selection on Monday morning, and returning on Tuesday morning to make any purchases. Students are NOT required to make a purchase, but if you would like to allow them to buy a book, or other item, please send them with cash on Tuesday. Books are always available for purchase online at scholastic.ca. If you choose to buy online, use our class code RC637365 and a percent of your purchase will go back into our classroom.

In-school field trip: Our class has another in-school field trip opportunity coming up on March 29th. Students will be participating in an art felting lesson from 9-11am. Please send me an email if you are available to volunteer. We will need 4-5 volunteers for the event to run as smoothly as possible.

Homework: When completing the homework, please be sure to have your child date their work. This helps me immensely in finding where their work for the week starts. Many students have been omitting the spelling section. This practice is important in retaining spelling knowledge beyond the Friday tests.

Uniforms: EVERY Monday is formal uniform. Our class rarely has everyone in complete formal uniform, and we are really working hard to earn sunflowers on the wall and a special treat. Please make sure your child is dressed as expected with all formal uniform components (no golf shirts).

Monday- FORMAL UNIFORM
Tuesday-
Wednesday- Fun Lunch
Thursday- P/T Conferences (evening)
Friday- NO SCHOOL for students; P/T Conferences (morning)
